The proverbial upper floors are reserved for the best suites? Not at The Fontenay. Here they are open to all as a spa landscape. With a pool that seems to flow into the Alster. A sauna that is at eye level with the sky. A relaxation area with an expansive panorama that is almost too good for resting. The result is a spa experience that you won't easily forget.
Relaxation on the water's edge
High above the rooftops of Hamburg - with an endless view of the decelerating scenery of the Outer Alster - is the exclusive world of relaxation at the Fontenay Spa. The aspects of beauty and sport, well-being and health are impressively combined over an area of 1,000 m². The infinity pool and the Alster lake seem to form a single waterline when you swim in them.
Of course, at The Fontenay your wellbeing is not neglected either. Take care of yourself in the harmonious and inspiring surroundings of our hotel and enjoy the view over the city and the beautiful nature around the Alster while swimming in the indoor/outdoor infinity pool. Afterwards, relax in the large spa lounge with panoramic views of Hamburg.
Relax in the soothing warmth and leave the stress of everyday life behind you as you admire the beauty of the city from our 90° C Finnish sauna. Our steam bath at 45° C rounds off the experience perfectly - here you can revitalize your body and mind and lose yourself in an oasis of calm.
The 7.5 km long dream running track around the Alster starts directly at the hotel. If you prefer to train indoors, the latest generation of strength and cardio training equipment from Technogym's Personal Line is at your disposal. Inspired by nature and science, this award-winning line has been developed using special materials and high-quality craftsmanship in collaboration with the world-famous furniture designer and architect Antonio Citterio. We are also happy to book the right personal trainer for you.
