Bar Manager Rocco Tolomeo

Our Bar Manager Rocco Tolomeo has been on board since April 2021. The Fontenay is his first stop in the north: "I feel very comfortable in Hamburg. The many bridges and the water remind me of Venice. I appreciate the diversity of different neighborhoods and lifestyles, from Schanze to Blankenese. Hamburg's guests have high quality standards and appreciate good hospitality," says Rocco Tolomeo.

The 40-year-old grew up near Stuttgart in Bietigheim-Bissingen in a family of restaurateurs. He became enthusiastic about creations with food at an early age and began his training as a hotel manager at the Maritim Hotel Stuttgart with bar specifications. After graduating as an international bartender in Munich, he continued his education as a hotel business administrator in Stuttgart. Before moving to The Fontenay, Rocco Tolomeo was Bar Manager at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich.

Assistant Bar Manager Ceiron Gedigk

At Rocco Tolomeo's side is his deputy, Ceiron Gedigk. The Hamburg native has already been at the Fontenay Bar since December 2017. He started out as Demichef de Bar, and is now Assistant Bar Manager. Before Ceiron Gedigk helped open the bar at The Fontenay, he had been gaining experience in the neighborhood, at the Grand Elysée Hotel Hamburg. Particularly exciting was certainly his time at Disneyland Paris and later also at Walt Disney World in Florida - a certain show talent cannot be denied. His work at the Fontenay Bar is a passion for him: He appreciates the interaction with the guests and loves to combine flavors in liquid form in a new way.
