Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin

Rich orchestral sound, pulsating rhythm and a specially created "Junk Metal Station" - the mythological sea monster Leviathan draws attention to itself in a contemporary guise. Created as part of the "Pastoral Project" for the Beethoven Year 2020 for the so versatile Alexej Gerassimez, the New Zealand composer John Psathas also delivers a commentary on climate protection and against the pollution of the oceans with his percussion concerto. In contrast, Beethoven's Seventh, this prime example of a perfectly conceived symphony, seems like a utopia from a better world. One wonders how the nature lover and passionate walker would have reacted to current developments. Probably with a musical thunderstorm for all mankind.
