Your Questions and Answers (FAQs) – Wedding Location at The Fontenay Hamburg

Our largest event room, Fontenay 1, can accommodate up to 130 guests with round seating and up to 110 guests with a dance floor. The adjoining foyer is ideal for a reception or celebration afterwards. In total, events for up to 199 people are possible in the event area (spread over several rooms).

Both non-religious and civil wedding ceremonies can be held at our hotel: The stylish library is ideal for intimate civil ceremonies with up to 20 guests. For larger parties, we recommend the Alsterwiese or the event area, which can accommodate up to 60 people. The appointment at the registry office is arranged directly by the bride and groom, but we are happy to assist with planning and implementation.

We offer two exclusive packages tailored to your wishes. Both packages can be booked for 30 people or more. We would be happy to provide you with a personalized quote.

Our in-house patisserie, led by pastry chef Marco D'Andrea, will design your dream cake to your specifications. We would also be happy to complement your celebration with a candy bar or small gifts for your guests.

Unfortunately, bringing your own food or drinks is not permitted.

Depending on the music and volume, celebrations are generally possible until 2:00 a.m. A service fee will be charged to the staff from midnight onwards. We recommend booking rooms above the event area for the night.

We can provide menu and name cards, floral decorations (via Himmel & Erde), tea lights, table linens, and tablecloths. We can also arrange for additional decorations through selected external service providers.

We can reserve a block of rooms (minimum of 10 rooms) at a standard rate. Guests can book their rooms for up to six weeks before arrival using a keyword you define.

We can organize professional childcare or a babysitter to look after the children during the celebration.

The hotel is centrally located at the Outer Alster and is quiet. Your guests can easily reach us:

• Five minutes from the main train station
• 25 minutes from Hamburg Airport
• Underground and valet parking directly on site

We recommend traveling by taxi, as parking spaces are limited.

Please understand that dogs are not permitted in public areas out of consideration for our other guests.
